Light Plots
Into the Woods (Spring 2025, Barker Players). This lighting plot accommodated for four different levels, low thrust, stage, stairs, and a second story platform. Twofers exist due to a lack of free dimmers in the theater, side booms were added in to help accurately light the topmost level. (Made in Apple Lighting Designer)
When We Were Young and Unafraid (Spring 2024, Barker Players). This lighting plot utilized a cyclorama hung just behind the 3rd Electric. Twofers exist due to a lack of free dimmers in the theater, all working dimmers were utilized to make this plot. (Made in Apple Lighting Designer)
Magic Sheet for When We Were Young and Unafraid (Spring 2024, Barker Players)
Scenes from Metamorphoses (Fall 2021, Vassar College Heinlein Stage). This lighting plot was created from an empty grid and worked around a flying ceiling piece that was part of the set. The ceiling hung above the stage for the entirety of the piece. (Made in Vectorworks 2022)

Process Work Examples
Rough focus sheet for Scenes from Metamorphoses, Fall 2021
For every show I design, I take the time to do process work after reading the play and attending blocking rehearsals. This process work can include scene breakdowns, color and effect journeys, and character maps. Frequently I will also pull research images to help gain a better understanding of the quality of light that I am trying to achieve throughout the show.
These pages are examples of this process work from various shows I have worked on. Included are some examples of rough draft focus sheets from early in tech and focus.
